Mum's telescopic stick is too narrow to be firmly clipped in place without sliding downwards and so I'm going to have to attach something like an upturned aerosol lid on the base of the scooter with adhesive velcro pads to hold the stick in place so it doesn't drag on the floor. Generally it is a cheap and cheerful way of doing the job though so I'm happy.
