    First rated blank DVD disc's

    I have been using these blank gold finished DVD's for some years for recording TV programmes for achieve etc. These disc's are very robust and reliable. To date I have never had a faulty one. These type of pack does not include a spindle so once the outer shrink wrap has been split you need to store them with care. I use a spindle pack from an old pack and then once the discs have been used place them in my dvd cases.

    DVD-R but one in 10 DVD is faulty and not able to record on it and has to be binned.

    One in 10 DVD is faulty and not able to record on it and has to be binned. last time I bought VERBTUM and here I got only 2 out of 100 faulty. So shows that Maxwell was not of good quality overall.

    For long term supply of average use

    It has been said these come packaged without spindle for storage but as was also said I too had a spindle from prior purchase of other discs so to all visable sense they are what they are supplied swiftly and costed to save money in a larger quantity to have lower price but no inferiority to class A discs at normal retail price. I have used a couple without fault and discs are more attractive to the eye gold in color as they are than Silver or grey previously bought. If these be of your type then buy and make the saving and fill your needs for as to the quantity a long time before any need of repurchase.

    I wonder??

    I have no firm basis for an opinion. I've had problems with my writer, getting dud discs. More Maxell than my standard Verbatim. The problems with the Maxell were solved by a lower write speed, so maybe they require a higher laser power.

    Maxell DVD-R data/video (Pack of 100)

    If you want a large quantity of DVD-Rs with no frills, this is it. You do not get a storage holder, just 100 DVDs. Fortunately I had an empty holder from a previous purchase. Once the wrapper is opened, you need something to keep the DVDs tidy.
