The clarinet quality is beyond my expectation.
I have a Buffet RC for 25 yrs. For my daughter school band, I am choosing an good looking and quality clarinet. After browsing on the internet, we took a try for the unbranded rosewood clarinet. Delivery is really fast in 3~4 days to Houston, probably because of additional charge of $45 shipping. Very satisfied with the shipping service. Every time having a new clarinet, I always try how hard the highest and lowest tones it delivered first. Pretty easy to play it. The A keys positions are slightly higher than my old Buffet RC. It is really a problem to obstruct playing when using my left index finger. I have fixed the problem already to unscrew the A key, bent it slightly and cut part of cork beneath the it. Now I can play it as fast as I am used to be. Talking about its sounds. The high tones are bright and clean, not harsh. I am quite satisfied. The lowest tone is felt little bright than my RC. Probably, my RC is too old. I really love the new clarinet's tone just like a young boy. The rosewood looks beautiful, keys are rigid, smooth, and adequate spring feedback. Lack of long term using, I am not sure its durability. For the price, I really recommend it at this moment. The case comes with the clarinet is just a hard box, and kind of light weight. The nickle plated keys is polished well, but still leave visible small permanent dents on the surface. Even these flaws does not affect the functions, I have to point out for future improvement of assembling. The included mouthpiece and ligature looks good. However, I prefer my old mouthpiece with the included ligature. No comment for the included mouthpiece. I really recommend the beginner buying it because of easy playing, bright tones, great looking, and affordable price. I am very satisfied with its incredible performance.

At first, I had some problems with the initial command (the towel to clean with a weight broke at first use and the ligature given was in metal instead of leather) I told him the problems and he sent me the leather ligature on the pictures without questions. The new towel is still very fragile, same cheap conception, and too thick to be used inside the instrument... the leather ligature might not be the best I had, but it works wonderfully! There was a reed with the kit, don’t touch it, just put it in the trash because you will be like me, thinking the clarinet is awful until you try a good reed on it. The case looks good, but it has clips to close it, I’m alway afraid to forget to clip it before taking the clarinet. Also, there no extra space with the clarinet I play many instruments and ... Only a few corrections to the keys was needed until it works perfectly. I played clarinet before, but not a lot (probably like 2 hours), the sound and playability is very good to me (very easy when you play saxophone) and seemed very good to a professional friend of mine. It’s just like a clarinet you would pay 700 to 800$ CAD. The keys seem to be good quality, but the barrel is not universal, you might have a leak if you take one from another company, but the ones given works fine enough so you won’t have to do it. Also, it was delivered faster than expected! Summary: I really like it, probably one of my favorite instrument to play with! I 100% would recommend!

It comes with a professional ligature, two barrels of different lengths, the clarinet, it's accessories and case. When you receive it, use YOUR mouthpiece so that you are sure that you can play it, then if you want to you can try the given mouthpiece. However, the clarinet can't use anything that didn't come with it meaning that it isn't a universal clarinet where a Buffet clarinet and a Backun clarinet can switch equipment. Since it is a wooden clarinet then you have to take better care than your plastic one. Due to its different colour then one is accustomed to, you shouldn't be afraid to use it in front of others. Great clarinet for the price.
My woodwind repairman really admired the construction of this clarinet and could not believe what I paid for it. It has a nice warm, big sound. I will get the upper stack repaded because the pads are porous but that will only cost me $40 and as good as it is playing now, it will be even better after the repad. I highly recommend this clarinet whether one is an amateur or professional player.

Didn't Work, Lovely appearance
I am a professional clarinetist, and was hoping to get a Rosewood clarinet for my collection. The tone holes were plastic, one of the barrels had some kind of liquid within it. I was sadly unable to play a complete scale in no octave (no matter how I turned the upper joint). It's a beautiful clarinet, on the outside, but it isn't worth having to take it into the shop to have it adjusted to so it would work properly.I am a professional clarinetist, and was hoping to get a Rosewood clarinet for my collection.
