    A stimulating historical account!

    This is a film I have long had on my must-see list, and it didn't disappoint. Cooper plays the lone dedicated, iconic,air-power advocate fighting the rigidity of old-line military hatred of change. The supporting cast could not be better (Rod Steiger plays the Army's prosecuting attorney) and the plot unfolds with few if any digressions.This is a case where Hollywood seems to have deferred to history.

    What a difference

    What a difference the older films have when compared with current offerings. Billy Mitchell is yet another older (1955) film with "real" acting in an interesting and informative film. "Spectacular" special effects? Nope, none; don't need 'em, want 'em.

    Great historical film

    Great acting gary cooper. What billy mitchell had to go through to get planes to fight government stupidity great how he vindicates himself. Film not seen on tv enough must see for history buffs.
