    Accurate portrail of Pirate life.

    Storyline is engaging, pre Treasure Island but mainly about gaining control of Nassau, with the characters being a mix of the fictional, Long John Silver, Capt. Flint (not the parrot) and factual, with historical pirates, given some artistic licence. The plot twists and turns, the characters are rounded and well acted and many don't survive (spoiler alert). The first series is slightly slower to get going than the second, but I do think you need to see them in sequence to really know what is going on. There is a lot of swearing and bloody violence throughout, but that may be expected when pirates are involved. The theme tune is tremendous and will stick in your head.

    A Romping good yarn

    Engaging, funny, sad and infuriating but lots of fun. Not an epic and won't win an Oscar but entertainment nonetheless. Will not give away any of the plot but there are a few suprises so be aware!

    Well, what can I say except that it blew my mind away, you are constantly sitting there as if its all for real & you want the pirates to win against the oppressive British regime. Fantastic, watched season three & can`t wait for season four to come out, the story is fantastic & the characters just draw you in, try it you won`t be disappointed.
