4 stones have fallen out of this ring in the 4 weeks since I bought it. The ring was sold as brand new, so I requested a refund. Sadly the seller was unwilling to refund, and blamed me for ‘wear and tear’. She also said shops would not have refunded me, which is clearly not true as under Consumer law they must sell goods that are fit for purpose.

Buyer receives item in brand new with tags, fit for purpose condition. Buyer uses it for a whole month, then expects a refund. I am not accountable for what happens to an item no longer in my possession, for an entire month where misuse, accident, or wear and tear could have ocurred. In these circumstances, buyer would have no legal right under Consumer Law. Buyer does not accept responsibility and instead leaves unjustifiable negative feedback.

The Consumer Rights Act of 2015 is very clear on the buyer’s entitlement to a refund for goods of unsatisfactory quality.
