      It's The Shield......what can I say? This is real life, baby.....get over it! Intensity personified!

      Tremendous value! Classic American gritty TV with cable freedom....the show is a real true picture of life in lovely L.A. and a voyeur's delight! The entire series in one package is a spectacular value. I had 1 episode that had glitches but no big deal. Packaging is great also and there are so many discs!

      The Shield

      This is the best cop show EVER!!! An anti-gang task force, led by Det. Vic Mackey (Michael Chicklis) doesn't always play by the rules, but one could argue they only take what's really due to them, considering they hand down real justice in a very dangerous area

      BRILLIANT, JUST BRILLIANT!

      There are no cons. This is simply one of the best series I've ever watched and I remain glued to it after hours and hours of watching. Now on Season 5 with so many more hours to watch, I'm riveted to it and keep tearing myself away from work and chores to bury myself in it. I'm glad I didn't see it when it was on TV. Waiting for the next week's episode and the next season would have been torture. Brilliant cast, surprise guest appearances, brilliant writing and camera work; impeccable writing and story lines. Gritty, captivating and enthralling.

      Very Gritty Police Series

      Caught this series at some point mid series when it was being run on FX. I really liked it for it's different approach and twistedness of a cop series program. After the series ended, I wanted to watch it from series pilot to series finality. Netflix or Amazon does not stream it so I bought the complete series instead of trying to find and join another streaming site (not sure if any of them stream this series) or pay per episode/season to watch. Got the complete series for a great price through ebaY. May re-sell it after I'm done. If you like cop dramas, this one unlike any you've seen, this should be on your list of must see series. Has seven 12 or 13 episodes per season also comes with candid behind scenes interviews, edited scenes and director/producer/actor commentaries on ...

      Excellent series.... never got it's credit when it was first on TV.

      This series never did get the credit it should have gotten. Actually one of the top FIVE that I own. I watched the series on TV, and did not buy the DVDs until a couple of years later. I actually enjoyed the second viewing more. Several of these actors went on to become quite recognized in moives and other series'.
