Very Accurate And Affordable Temperature Sensor!
This remote wireless temperature sensor gives me very accurate readings, which is the most important thing that you can look for in a remote temp sensor. I tested it using high precision temperature calibration thermometer and it was extremely accurate, within 1/2 degree F, even better than I expected! You can feel the quality that goes into this thing when you pick it up. The transmission signal is strong and easy to pick up, which is another thing that is so important. I have had great luck with La Crosse weather instruments in the past, and this sensor once again proved to me that La Crosse really does care about the quality and accuracy of their products. They make precision weather gear that doesn't cost you a lot! They proved to me again that they are a great company that makes products I can trust and afford. Two identical sensors, two very different results!
I bought a second sensor to put in the garage. But first I put it in the same place as the first one and, surprise, it shows very different degrees and humidity rates than my first one. Then something goes wrong with the 5G, I think. The weather station only manages to display the data from the first sensor. So at the moment we can only read the temperature and humidity on the small screen of the second sensor. Despite following the instructions, we were not able to configure the application or the weather station. This is probably why this article is discontinued. It would have been more honest to state the incompatibility. There are other cheaper brands, which is what I recommend.

A good product. Slightly difficult to set up and bond with main display unit. My issue is I purchased the original unit with the understanding the outdoor sensor was included. Sensor for La Crosse Weather Station

Sensor Replacement took a while but once going it is rock solid.
Sensor replaced the OEM that went out. Took a while to get it to synch with the base unit. Had to delete old unit from the base station and then add the new unit. LaCrosse on line instructions seemed to cover everything except what I needed. it took about 45 min to synch it. Some instructions or a link would have helped. Replacement Temp Sensor
The sensor arrived in perfect condition. I put the batteries in it and it came to life. I was able to sync it with my La Crosse View app and it worked fine. Accurate and communicates over longer distances

My original sensor was faulty and I had ...
My original sensor was faulty and I had trouble getting the base to recognize this new sensor. I cleared the old sensor three times but it still did not recognize it. Unplugged the unit three times but it still did not recognize it. I then unplugged it, removed and reinstalled the memory button battery for 30 seconds to clear the memory, plugged it back in and it instantly recognized the new sensor. Nice!
