    Characters worth meeting again---and young Alan Rickman is unforgettable!

    It was good to view this Trollope series again. It is like meeting old friends---great characters---some good and some bad, but all with very human traits. The young Alan Rickman (more recently infamous as Prof. Snape in the Harry Potter series) already has his delicious sneer in place. What a great actor. He is much missed already. For those who love a good, meaty, and non-violent story with intelligent ideas and dialogue, this is a treat.

    If you have read all of Jane Austen over and over...

    Try Trollope. He is funny and sly like Austen at her best . And this Barchester DVD has fantastic actors like wonderfully handsome, beautiful voiced Alan Rickman and imperious Geraldine McKewan. I loved it and the books too.
