  • Great classic show!!! Love it!!!

I loved this show when I was a kid. I'm watching it as an adult...and I still love it!!! I think it is well written. It's fun to hear the songs on each show. I like having it on DVD because I see little things, over the years, that were edited out for commercial play on network tv. I also think it is a good show for kids to watch because no matter what era we live in, our life struggles are still the same. Shirley Jones, who plays the mom, also had to be a real life mom, role model, to some of the kids on the show too. She's a dear classy lady!!!

  • The Partridge Family

Each actor/ess is entertaining. It brings me back to an earlier time in life. Very enjoyable, Music and singing is awesome. David Cassidy is a gorgeous, flawless dream as Keith Partridge with an outstanding voice and Shirley Jones is a beautiful loving mother, smart, busy and a great example of a leader with her family. Danny is a very smart boy and I wish those traits would have stayed with the actor Danny Bonaduce. Susan Dey as Laurie is a loving sister and the two little ones are delightful. Reuben, Dave Madden, is crazy with what he goes through as their manager. He and Danny are a great team! I love all of the episodes.

  • Still funny years later

Item arrived quickly and was in excellent brand new condition. I remember watching this show as a teen and loving it!! 45 years later, I will admit it is a little "corny" in places, but still an entertaining watch and offers old fashioned comfort at the end of a long hectic day. I recommend.

  • A great buy with hours of viewing pleasure

Amazing! Not available to play on UK players and so I have bought a multi region player specifically to play this. Hours of pleasure watching the most talented, beautiful man to ever walk this planet. Thankyou!

  • Great Add to my DVD collect

Came on time, & in good shape. Plays well on all of my devices. Great price. Like the format as the discs play flow from episode to episode without having to manually advance to the next episode.

  • Entertaining series if you can get past the...

Yes, this series is entertaining with some of their likeable songs and funny characters and story lines. Watching this many years after the series was on in my teens, it is clear the writers wanted to portray certain messages in their stories. Some "classic" humorous episodes: Don't Bring Your Guns to Town Christmas episode and Danny and the Mob. This is an entertaining series if you can get past the liberal leanings of some of the episodes. First season was mostly neutral but even had an episode where the family had to change their principles of remaining neutral to make a decision to take a stand on an issue. After that, typical political or social issues were addressed - ecology, women's lib, etc - in the terms of the 70's, of which the issues have evolved to other terminologies. Business mastermind 10 yr old Danny is a glaring prominent figure in most episodes. Ruben, a father figure, tries unsuccessfully to be convincing that he doesn't like kids, since you see him carrying the younger ones on his back or joking with them at the table. The family eating and hanging out together, solving problems, and working together is a nice thing of the past, something TV shows seem to have forgotten. No filthy language. Some innuendos not meant for younger viewers, even though they are uttered by the kids.

  • Great Trip Down Memory Lane!

Careful packaging to avoid any scratching of the discs; great sound and video quality; and thank you so much for just giving us the program, without any copy protection. I rely on my computer's dvd player to watch my shows and movies, and many copy protection schemes won't cooperate with dvd players built into computers.

  • Back to childhood

When I was a kid, Friday nights we went out for dinner. Therefore, I always missed the Partridge Family! I begged and begged to be allowed to stay home by myself so I could watch it. How could I be a David Cassidy fan if I didn't get to see the show? Eventually, my parents relented and allowed me to stay home by myself (I was 9 years old) while they went out for dinner. With this great DVD set, I can watch all the episodes whenever I wish! I have to be frank and say, I don't remember any of them! So, what a great way to go back in time and "remember" the good old days!

  • The Partridge Family looking and sounding better than ever before

This release of “The Partridge Family” is excellent both in picture perspective, color and audio/sound. This 1970-74 series is dear to my heart; I watched the Partridges from 5th grade - 9th grade, when the series ended (1974). Shirley Jones was so cool and classy both as actress and singer. The other cast members are all excellent in their roles; Dave Madden’s self deprecating humor always serves well. And at just $25 for the entire series on 8 DVDs, this is a bargain.
