  • GREAT FUN GOING BACK TO BASICS.

    The Praktica MTL range are really solidly built basic manual cameras produced in the old East Germany before German reunification. If not abused should give many years of trouble free service. They are a great way to experience film photography on a budget and with the Pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens are capable of taking high quality photographs. Although they have through the lens metering even this is manual (you have top depress a small lever to activate meter). So no fancy electronic aids to help with exposure or focus, but what a great way to actually learn and understand how photograhy works. This will help you hugely improve your digital photography by giving you a much better understanding of how your all singing and dancing digital camera is working behind the scenes and how and when to ...
