    This was so good, I bought another copy for my neighbour! Easy to follow recipes that were very easy to prepare. Not only that, but every single recipe I’ve made from this has been a winner for my friends too! If you’re looking for curries, breads, and pickles better than what your local take out has to offer, then this book is a must have!

    Indian cookery book

    Of all the cookery books I own this is undoubtedly the best. Usually when I buy a cookbook I'm happy if I like a handful of recipes. In this book I have tried more than half the recipes and not liked only one. I have been cooking Indian food for decades and these recipes, gleaned from various sources around India are authentic and delicious. They are also extremely easy to follow, which is a bonus. Probably the most useful cook book I possess.

    Rick Stein hits the spices

    The much travelled and charismatic Rick Stein on top form in this book. My favourite recipe? Cod Pondicherry curry - maybe because I have been lucky enough to enjoy it at his Rick Stein Cafe in Padstow. Excellent design and atmospheric photography. Highly recommend.
