    Wartime Brit Propaganda Films with a Touch of Girl Power!

    This Brit story is a tale of 1940's wartime propaganda movies and their production, told from the writer's point of view. The brutality of bombed out London, the broken relationships of a world at war, and the quirky charm of the movie world - all thrown together in this delightful film! The scenes are very authentic, especially those English pubs. The music features a romantic segue through a Gustav Holst tune "In the Bleak Midwinter." Nicely done! For movie buffs, I think there's a touch of "Gone With the Wind" in this one. Heartbreak. And a way out of our troubles. If only in the movie house.

    A MOVIE WITHIN A MOVIE IN WWII BRITAIN

    One of my favorite films of the past few years. Witty and engaging. Bill Nighy is awesome, as usual. The story involves making a movie during war time London (WWII) to boost homeland morale. One of the pleasures of this film as that you see sequences being shot, but then experience how it all fits together at the end of the movie. The characters are so vivid, you actually pine for a sequel when this movie is over.
