    Excellent protection!

    This filter is a MUST for protection of all your investments. I bought 3 of these for my "Nikon Holy Trinity" of lenses, the 14-24, 24-70, 70-200mm 2.8 VR lenses, as well as for all my other Nikon lenses of different sizes. They are so nice and thin and have ribbed edge on the outside for easy tightening and loosening to remove and install. I was concerned about buying from online, because of all the "fakes" out there, but if you know the difference between the fakes and the authentic ones, you shouldn't have a problem. The easiest way to tell a "fake" is by looking at the "77", which the tail should be curved, not straight. Also, it will say "Made in Japan", not just "Japan", or without "Japan" at all. Those are the easiest ways to spot a fake right away.

    Protection that does not degrade image quality

    If you have a great camera and a nice lens, you want to protect the front lens without compromising image quality. This is an expensive filter, but still a low cost insurance for your lens. There are plenty of very cheap filters, but cheap filters also degrade image quality, which the best filters do not. This is one of the better ones, that only offers protection for your lens. Clean everything, mount it and forget it. You will not see it in your photos.

    Nikon A2 Filter

    This is one of the highest quality products available, although more expensive than most. I cannot take the chance of image degradation of near perfect lens by using a budget filter.

    Perfect protection

    another quality Nikon product

    No bfd here. just another quality product from Nikon. I use it solely for lens protection so any other brand filter would work the same, tiffen, etc. I bought this Nikon brand because it was genuine Nikon and from a US dealer for the same price as generic brands.
