    A new and exciting perspective on war from the POV of a tank squad. Youngblood learns what war really means.

    Legendary actors in one tank. It's less about the action and more about the relationship of their squad, specifically the new young guy. The MOST dynamic character, he goes from timid to THE MACHINE. I bought this movie for a reason!

    Great attention to detail

    I was assigned to the 70th Armor in Germany in 1967 and spent a lot of time at Fort Knox training to be a Tank Platoon leader. It is refreshing to watch a movie that did its homework and no doubt had WWll vets helping them. Life inside a tank is very close and the action is fast and no pun intended furious. The even used the M3 submachine gun which we called grease gun. It was small and we had 2 of them in our tank + all 4 of us carried a 45 cal pistol in shoulder holsters. Lots of bad things can happen when you turn the turret so you don’t need holsters to get stuck. The only Hollywood moment was Brad Pitt using the fifty cal machine gun at the end of the movie. He shot about 250 to 300 rounds without reloading. The ammo box on his tank was 100 rounds. Nevertheless the movie ...
