Good quality easy to use product
This gets 4 stars as it is a good quality, easy to use product. The only reason that it gets 4 and not 5 stars is that I don't know for certain how much difference it is making to my battery, that's going to take a bit of time to figure that out.

SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK - WASTE OF MONEY
This product is an absolute waste of space and money - does not even MAINTAIN a battery, let alone CHARGE it. Having recently had the car parked up after surgery, I thought this would be ideal to keep things topped up, especially with it being an AA Approved and branded item, but after a fortnight of the car not being touched and this plugged into the OBD port, the battery voltage was very low and the car needed boost starting. And yes it was working every day, even on the rainy days the blue flashing LED was working to show charge was being produced by the solar panel. You are not told anywhere that having anything plugged into the OBD port prevents the car's canbus system from going to sleep, so when this product is plugged in, you will always have more going OUT of the battery than ... This product is an absolute waste of space and money - does not even MAINTAIN a battery, let alone CHARGE it. I leave my car standing for weeks and found the modern batteries do not like this . At the recommendation of a RAC breakdown chap I bought one of these. As RAC did not have their own version I went to the AA who has the name of quality and stated it had the right connection. Other offerings I did not trust as unbranded so I paid more for quality and brand name. So far the product is happily working when the sun pops out !I leave my car standing for weeks and found the modern batteries do not like this . At the recommendation of a RAC breakdown chap I bought one of these. As RAC did not have their own version I went to the AA who has the name of quality and stated it had the right connection. I have used solar powered charger before but they all had to be either attached directly to the battery, or use the accessory socket (some switch off when you stop the engine). With this one offering the ability to connect direct via the OBD2 socket is a plus point and with the car being parked up for longer times now due to the Lockdown this was for me the way to go. I have only just installed it and can not comment on the long term us yet, but I expect that it will perform well. Excellent buy
Bought for my 1999 Jaguar S type which are notorious for eating batteries when left standing. Just come out of 4 mths house arrest for Corona virus (71 and type 2 diabetic) so haven't started the car for 4 mths and voila! it started first time! Just make sure you unplug before driving off. This is the second one i have bought, this one for my son-in-law's Jag.
