The covered bar that supports the thumb can be moved a little by sliding it, so I can completely immobilise the whole thumb or let my top joint be flexible if I want. You can also fix the velcro around the nail area for full thumb support, or lower it for top joint flexibility (which is what I want). Really happy with my purchase.
