The fit and finish on this model is fantastic. Hot Wheels put a lot of effort into design and production of this product. The photo etch screen detail on the body openings is well applied. The miniature magnets located under the front and rear removable panels are a nice touch which aid in securing the panels for display and moderately careful picking up and moving of the model. They may not alone be enough to hold the front panel on if turning the model upside down as it is a relatively weighty piece. One may want to place a finger or two under this piece to hold it onto the body when inverting the model to look at underside detail. The see through rear engine cover is probably light enough to be held on with the magnets without supporting it when inverting the model. A note on the removable engine cover is that care should be taken when removing it to view the engine bay detail. The magnets do add a tiny bit of resistance when removing the cover and the cover has photo etch grill detail epoxied onto the clear panel. One should try to be mindful of the fact that these are some relatively fragile parts held together by a minimal amount of glue so a bit of careful treatment will go a long way towards preserving the original condition of the model. Also the rear engine cover locates with the trailing edge a bit under the rear wing so one may wish to not pull the cover directly upwards during removal. I have found that sliding a fingernail under the cover up towards the roof of the body and then sliding the cover off over the passenger compartment draws it out from under the wing. The wing is securely mounted by the factory but there is a limit to how much stress I would want to put on the vertical sconce mounts for the wing. Lastly when dusting the model care should be taken around the windscreen wiper. A feather duster hooking it even mildly puts a lot of leverage on parts like this and POP! It's off to the epoxy tube to glue it back on. Just a few personal experiences from dusting my diecasts over the years. Still have never found the wiper for my Countach! Again though Hot Wheels has done another stunner with this Ferrari. I feel it is an upper class model at a more modest price than some others I have seen. Happy collecting! -MarkRead full review
