thank you i ordered it and my item blew up.my advice is do not buy electrical items to use in uk from usa.i thought id get a transformer but still it didnt work my item blew up.at least i tried and put it down to not understanding electrics.the seller for the transformer did try and helpbut i dont understand voltages.so hopefully ive learnt a lessen.buy uk

Simple solution to an ever more frequent problem.
A splendidly compact product which makes US small household electronics usable in Europe. For a long time this was an insurmountable problem for these small products. This solution will become more and more relevant as more of us learn to explore the internet for exactly what we want and find it requires 110 AC input. Be warned, this is for small items. Lasted but a few weeks
This step down transformer was purchased to power a 110v 40w fibre optic light. It straight away ran very hot, which didn' t bode well. The light would be on for about 3-4 hours every other evening as an average, so it was hardly over-worked. It has failed completely now and been replaced with a higher quality transformer, which runs cool and silent.

Don’t expect too much
These do the job, providing the task isn’t too onerous. It only delivers 45 Watts, if the device calls for too much power the transformer will fail. Also there is a recommended usage period of 1 hour.
