Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you. If the remote has worn out rubber buttons this will repair it if installed correctly. It's been done by hundreds of regular people on this remote alone. I don't know what happened in your situation. It's possible your remote has something more serious than worn button contacts. I am always available to ask questions. Sending pictures of the installation is a huge help.
