I really like the Strada Slim because it does everything I want a bike computer to do and is accurate and easy to use. I would've given it a 5star rating if the paper directions included with the Strada Slim were not useless garbage. Impossible to understand. If you purchase this item go to the Cateye web site and download their directions. Much easier to follow. You can also find many tutorials on You-tube related to setting up and using the Strada Slim.

Computer head is smaller, but the digits are larger. Somewhat difficult to program. But once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy. Not too keen on the computer mount. I upgraded to a K-Edge handlebar mount. Sometimes you press on the screen to change modes and nothing happens. I wish you could choose what you want to show on your screen. To get to the time, you have to click though 5 modes. Odd, since I changed to the K-Edge mount, which puts your computer out front, I spend less time looking at it. I can't count the number of Cateye computers I have owned over the past years. Other computers were problematic. Typical Cateye quality. You can buy spare parts directly though Cateye. If you want a basic, no frills computer, this is it.

Very easy to scroll through the settings, easy to read. Make sure that your distance from fork to the tire is not too far or you will have to shim the sensor out. I used a piece of rubber hose because I had to space it closer to my mag pic up. This was oversight on my part. I should have bought the other style but it works great and I am very happy.

I have used many bike computers over the years, and over the years my eyesight has deteriorated. I do not need or want GPS featured monitors--I can find my way around town and the countryside without them. What I do need is clear easy to set up, easy to read monitors that include time, distance, max and average speed, elapsed time. This has it all, and I believe provides it in the largest numerals on ANY bike computer, thus making this the most legible monitor you can buy--it is also easy to read even if you are wearing polarized sunglasses, something that can make it difficult or impossible to read on some monitors such as those by Topeak. It is very easy to use--simply push down on the unit and it will scroll through the several functions. Push down for a couple of seconds and it will reset to prepare for the new ride. It of course has a memory function for the total mileage of the bike, adding each ride tot the next. This version has nylon tie mounts for attaching the monitor to the handlebar, and a thick rubber band for attaching the transmitter on the inside of the fork (very easy), basically hiding it from view, which is nice. Please note that a nearly identical model has a bigger, bulkier transmitter that is attached by the nylon ties, and protrudes past the fork--these are sometimes incorrectly referred to as a Strada Slim Wireless, so be careful--the RD310 is what you want, not the RD300. The only missing info I would like is a temperature reading, but few have this anyway, so certainly not a deal breaker. It is the best non-GPS monitor available, bar none.Read full review
