The unit worked fine out of the box. It is a little under-powered, but is adequate for our needs. It does have lots of input options. The sound quality is not the best but I haven't really given it a fair shake because I'm just using the headphone jack into a y-splitter and into the rca aux input of the receiver. Things may improve when I use the appropriate cable. Other reviews said that the fan was loud. Either mine is extremely quiet or doesn't turn on at all. The unit only gets slightly warm to the touch but I haven't really run it hard. So far, I can't complain, especially for the extremely low price I paid. Time will tell if the unit holds up.

received the stereo and hooked it up, worked great for 6 days and then it quit playing my ROKU device. tried all 4 inputs and all 4 didn't work, so I plugged the ROKU directly into the TV HDMI and the ROKU plays great, so got a hold of the ROKU tech dept AND PYLE tech dept. It seems as tho there isn't enough line voltage coming out of the ROKU to make the PYLE stereo work. even tho my cable box AND my Blu-ray player work fine thru the stereo receiver and they have GREAT sound thru the stereo. Bought a HDMI line amp and installed it between the ROKU and the stereo and the PYLE receiver STILL does not work with my streaming device. Guess i'll have to go a different direction here.

They advertise features that are not there like a USB port and an SD card slot. If I had known before I wouldn't have bought the unit. Also the controls are a little awkward to use. The sound quality is OK for a cheap unit but is not outstanding.

It's very simple. The features that this receiver says it has simply do not work. You cannot use your HDMI out from your TV to the receiver if you are using any of your Smart TV apps. Additionally, the 4K and 3D passthroughs DO NOT WORK. At all. Please read the reviews before you get suckered as I did hoping a $99 receiver would work.
