Complete with an LGA771 socket, this processer offers 2GHz of speed. The efficiency that is experienced is a result of the 12 MP of L2 cache which is an important component of this device. The result is maximized main memory of the processor while reducing its latency. Users have the ability to allocate up to 6 MB of memory to any one core located within the Intel Xeon E5405. Gain three times the amount of bandwidth of traditional processors. This is made possible with the fully buffered Intel CPU DIMM technology used in the E5405 processor’s design. The Intel Acceleration technology cuts the CPU overhead while offering a more efficient processing experience. The Intel Xeon E5405 2GHz processor features four complete processor cores in one physical package. Significant CPU performance headroom, especially for multi-threaded applications, helps boost system utilization through virtualization and application responsiveness. Its 12 MB L2 cache increases efficiency of cache-to-processor data transfer, maximizes main memory to processor bandwidth, and reduces latency. Intel EM64T provides an enhancement to intel 32-bit architecture for the Intel Xeon E5405 2GHz by enabling the mobile processor platform to access larger amounts of memory. With appropriate 64-bit hardware and software, platforms used on an Intel processor supporting Intel EM64T can enable sue of extended virtual and physical memory. With the Intel Xeon you also get Intel Virtualization Technology hardware enhancements that support software-based virtualization. It works with VMware, VirtualPC, and XenSource, as well as virtualization products from an increasing number of software vendors of various specifications. Virtualization combined with multiple cores gives you maximum power and performance per square foot. The four distinct cores of the Intel Xeon E5405 2 GHz enable your computer to handle a multitude of tasks more efficiently, whether you are video-conferencing while taking notes in a Word documents, or watching a video while sending emails. The processor’s clock speed of 2 GHz and the bus speed of 1333 MHz help your programs pick up the pace and circumvent annoying clock speed lag times. This particular Intel Xeon SLAP2 E5405 includes 12 MB of L2 cache memory, which also speeds up the processing time. Fit Intel Xeon E5405 2 GHz to any LGA771 motherboard socket. Intel’s Execute Disable Bit function can prevent certain classes of malicious “buffer overflow” attacks when combined with a supporting operating system. Execute Disable Bit allows the processor to classify areas of the memory where application code can execute and where it cannot.
