My purchase of this DVD was motivated solely by the opportunity to see Leelee Sobieski in a new film, which is for me enough of a reason to bid and buy. If, however, you are looking for something deep and more profound than my criterion, you will be disappointed. But if you fancy a film that is simple, playful, and only peripherally meaningful, "Walk All Over Me" might be a good option. Since the plot of this film is fairly predictable, it's success is based on the work of the performers. Fortunately for this Canadian release, the actors and actresses do a good job. Ms. Sobieski shows some versatility as "Alberta," being able to handle the character's accident prone, naive, and passive personality, as well as a gradually emerging sense of self-confidence. Tricia Helfer plays "Celene," a dominatrix who prides herself on having a life "plan" and using her more-than-assertive tendencies to get what she wants. These two characters have a good chemistry together and make a predictable plot engaging and entertaining. If one can cite a theme in this tongue-in-cheek comedy/drama, the one consistent message of "Walk All Over Me" is taking control of your life and not letting others push you around. "Celene" helps "Alberta" adopt a take charge attitude. The two "thug" brothers, "Aaron" and "Isaac," show a different side to "dominant" and submissive" until "Aaron" (played by Michael Eklund) has an epiphany of his own and finally stands up to his brother. Even paying submissive "Spencer" (second to "Alberta" my favorite character) gets into the assertiveness act by the end of the film. Sometimes we all need to be entertained without some major message being delivered to us via film. "Walk All Over Me" can be such a movie.Read full review
i found it a comedy of errors, with leelle ss alberta. a young woman who is not ready to deal with life's ups & downs. leelee runs away from one problem into an even bigger one as a young dominatrix without a clue. she is cute, funny and offbeat at the same time. creating a problem that snowballs for her and tricia helfer who is the season domintrix in canada. they both are believable in the rolls that they are playing. the secondary charcters are a mix of the semi normal guys to short fuse street thugs with family issues. tricia's client adds to the crazy events that leave you wanting to scream out with laughs. this movie is campy but funny at the same time. it will remind you of some of the wacky things some of your friends get into. a cross between a teen movie with adult themes. enjoy with family and friends. with some luck on their side. they come out in the end with a better understanding of each others world. bothe leelee and tricia have given a good peeformace along with rest of the cast. the box cover calls your attention. provide you with light hearted entertainment. if you are not ready to have a sex talk with your young children skip it. i will personally give it 3 of 4 stars. there are not too many movies that fall into this nitch market. i'll rate it PG-17 for young viewers i will be looking for more good movies from these two lovely ladies. Leelee and Tricia are developing their art with each new roll they take on. thanks for the entertainment.Read full review

if you are looking for an intense film with an unusual twist this is it.first the only thing i did not like was the first part of the dvd had the behind the scenes before the movie.but i turned the sound down and tried to fast forward but it did not work.once the movie started i was very well pleased.there was violence from the get go.it was living a fantasy and not having to pay the price or does she.it is a thriller dealing into a world of a dominitrix but that is not all.it deals with finding yourself.based in canada but well worth it.if you like violence, dominitrix, suspense and surprises this is right up your alley.
Fairly predictable plot, you don't see this movie for the plot line. Seeing Helfer and Sobieski in leather and in a dominant mood is worth the price of admission although it really isn't long enough. The scene with Sobieski at the mall was fun, there was actually a but of chemistry between her and the actor. Average to below average on the whole but again, you really aren't seeing this expecting " The Godfather" or any other classic...
