I love this press. It takes less room on the lower side since the press moves down instead of up so your linkage doesnt interfere with anything below your press. The long handle sizes and seats large cases easy. Plus the ram is a beast. I invested in the hornady quick detach kit for easier die swaps in my opinion it was a must.

The summit press is a solid press, 20+/- pounds of well machined iron, and it does the task well enough. The primer catch system leaves something to be desired, but thankfully a few aftermarket vendors have come up with solutions that deal with the issue. The nicest thing about the press is that it doesn't overhang the front edge of the bench when not in use (the handle still goes below bench level, so it needs to be at the edge of the bench still) so I was able to mount it on my bench in an area that had drawers. Other presses would have prevented the use of the top drawer. The press has sufficient leverage for most any reloading task, and would be very difficult to wear out. It's not a powerhouse, but it's no weakling either. The other thing that is nice about the press is that the dies move to the shell, rather than the other way around. What that means in practice is that the shell gets jostled less in loading. Generally not a concern at all, and only really comes into play with very full cases, but it is still an advantage for certain things. Overall, a very good press for most things, that has a few distinct advantages, and is really only affected by poor primer handling; the primer catcher is less than ideal, and it has no native priming ability. If you prime off press, and spend a few dollars for a primer catch upgrade, then this is a good press indeed.Read full review

Very nice press! Compact and stabilizes to the bench or mounting plate with just two screws... because of the way it's designed this is all that you need. Get the shorter handle... It is excellent if you have to set the press back away from the edge of the bench.
