The good: The Palm Treo 700wx offers more available memory than Verizon's version, the 700w. The Windows Mobile smart phone also has integrated Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and EV-DO support. The bad: The Palm Treo 700wx lacks integrated Wi-Fi and retains the low-resolution 240x240-pixel display. The bottom line: The Palm Treo 700wx brings some needed improvements to the Windows Mobile smart phone, such as more memory, but it's still far from perfect. I have suffered from Smartphonanecrosy with my Samsung ACE for the last year and a half. Because I am stuck in a two year contract, the only way to change was pay full price for a phone. I was mad at my phone and mad at my provider. I now know the ACE has one of the lowest customer ratings of all Sprint phones. Years ago, my husband gave me a Palm PDA which I really like and which still works handily. So, I thought I would give this Palm Treo a try, especially since it has a bit of an external antenea as connectivity at home is a problem with the ACE and other phones I have tried. Finally, cured. It works like a charm, has the Windows OS, is so intuititive. It does what I want, not what it wants. Needs very little charging, has a very powerful battery and signal, auto shut-off and easy turn-on so that you can talk, throw it in your purse, and easily answer again. The only negative is that the camera is 1.3mg and the pictures are not good at all, BUT, hey, this phone is five years old and used. Want good photos, get a camera.Read full review
When i brought the phone i thought it would be great until november when i switch to at&t i thought wrong the phone is garbage the charges for the wall and car barely work and the usb card dont work at all the memory card dont work they say memoy is full but when i put the memory car in my computer the folders ar empty i only have 2 ringtones and contacts no pen for the screen the internet didnt work i had to call cutomer service they said the person i brought it from messed everything and sold it to make a lil money i should have went with my first mine and brought the palm pre for $30 free shipping my texts are not sending customer service said you did something to the phone it hang up on people my girlfriend call back and curse me out because she think im hanging up in her face its not the service when i had the other phones it never happen i can barely hear the phone is just giving me problems i wont be buying anything else from you unless its worth it or free the phone sucks! if you want to talk more feel free to call me at: 225-266-7814 because im highly upset Kenny Williams Baton Rouge,LouisianaRead full review
This is the third Treo I have owned and while not tech savy this phone get email, stores data, takes pretty goo pics, works as mp3 player and has internet access. The internet acces is not the best but works. Great upgrade with the windos based platform!
I love the fact I am so used to this phone and they still had some out there. I can check my gmail and aol email accounts and the internet is fast. I dislike the fact that you cannot send pictures through text (only through email as an attachment). I decided to buy it because I needed a replacement phone after leaving my old phone on the roof of my car after pumping gas BUT now I have it back and I am excited to have it back.
