    GHS Flat strings

    First time I’ve tried these strings on my Gretsch. I’m used to D’Addario FLAT wounds and they are a lot smoother than the GHS Flat (ground wound) but they are definitely brighter sounding. Probably better on a Strat or Les Paul. But I’m happy for now.

    Miss leading ... Not Flat wound strings

    I have used Chromes 10-48 (Mellow - Warm) D'Addario ECG23 "totally flat" wound strings and they are excellent. I saw "ghs 710 "bright flats. So, I bought a set. They are NOT flat wound like the Chromes. They may be a little polished smoother, then regular round wound strings, but NOT a true flat string. They should have been titled "semi flat' wound. Very misleading and I will never buy them again.

    Brite flats

    I just noticed the "submit" button looked like I forgot to send a review. Sorry if I didn't until now. The reason for my writing is that I broke my A string. It happened when I was changing the bridge saddle. Do you have a single A string or will I need to get a set? I did keep the old string, but it is no comparison. Thanks.

    NOT A FLATWOUND STRING

    IT is not flatwound , DO NOT BUY if you intend to find a flatwound guitar strings . I installed then removed and put in the trash can just 1 day later . I rate it 1 star because I could not rate it 0 . One a gain, do not buy

    Half flat, half round

    I tried the strings on an epiphone Flying V. The squick noise my fingers made on roundwound strings disappeared with these on. They are not absolutely flat, but they are very smooth. They sound bright like roundwounds and glide like flat wounds. Do not sound dull or muted like other flats. These are my new go to for strings.
