I initially bought myself B&S Sahara 10x42 bins for myself for use in bird hides & have been very impressed to say the least. So impressed I bought these Skyline 8x42 ( exactly the same spec but 8x as opposed to 10x) for my wife. I have used the Saharas in tandem with an equivalent pair ten times the price in the field & found very little difference (certainly not enough to warrant the price difference). Back to the wifes Skylines. I prefer hers to mine because the image can be held steadier in the field because of the lesser 8x magnification. To conclude. For field bins, the Skylines. For bird hides where you can support with your elbows to stop a shaking image, the Saharas. Whichever, both excellent quality at a bargain price.

I bought these for my wife for general bird watching and using while she's walking the dog through the woods and in the countryside. She loves them and the quality is excellent. I did a lot of research before getting these and would highly recommend them. An excellent purchase.

Great binoculars, everything I need to get up close and personal to Raptors that abound in the Shropshire hills.
