Incredibly well engineered. Easy to assemble (but look into the centre of the machine for the bag with parts and keys in it). This is very well constructed, solid welds, no push fit and rivets here. Obviously it is an 8 horse power engine, but it is quieter than my Briggs and Stratton 4.5 HP lawn mower (I am comparing the lawn mower in the garden to this running in my kitchen, (then the carbon monoxide alarm went off and I could still hear it). If you wish for a third of the generation power and quieter, you can pay £1000-2000 for the quiet Honda etc. suitcases. However if you just want awesome power this is the one to get. Having many two stroke engines, I expected the half an hour to get it started problem. I put in the oil, I put in the fuel, Counter intuitively, the fuel lever is on when it is at 90 degrees and rotates in the opposite direction to the arrow. Then I turned the key- from empty it coughed a few times and burst into life in literally 2 seconds- almost 2 seconds later it was fading and I flicked the choke back to open at which point it soared!!! Wow! running at peak in just 5 seconds and I never had to pull the back up recoil starter rope. (This means you can start this even if its battery is flat) win, win win. If you are considering buying a generator, any drill or motor will produce an inductive surge so that 700 watt won't cut the mustard, whatever you want to use you have to buy twice the capacity which this does. With a specialist Physics Degree I do know what I am talking about. Balance this, silence and little power £1500. This is 2.8kW, and electric starting!!! These are the facts, you can choose. I am very happy with my choice. Obviously I do no intend to use it in a Camping or Caravan park, but if you need the power you cannot do better than this.,Read full review

Arrived on time, all in good order. Surprisingly sturdy and well put together given price. Nice and easy to get ready to run, starting up easy on pull or key start. Bought for powering kit away from the house as well as being a backup for the house in case of power cuts. After a couple of "bedding in" runs, hooked upto house via transfer switch, put almost the rated load on, performed faultlessy.

Deliberated long and hard over what Generator to buy. So Glad I decided to go with this. Really easy to set up. Haven't used long term, however I put it through its paces by using my large compressor to test it's capabilities. Didn't miss a beat ! Powered compressor no problem. Really love the Electric start. So easy! Coped easily with demand of generator. Noise level was good even under start up load. Decided to run on Aspen fuel, as years of shelf life so Generator will always be ready for action. Expensive option however I'll only have occasional demand for use. As it stands really pleased with my purchase.

Bought this to power our computer internet & anderoids in the event of a power cut. Gives a great steady supply & plenty of power. Just remember to add oil before use of it won’t fire up. Add oil starts 1st turn/pull excellent piece of kit well worth money
