These are a fantastic little truggy. My kid and I have had two of these for years now and they have been great. You will need an upgraded aluminum upper plate cause they crack on crashes. These hand great, the jump great and really fly. I have a 5200kv in mine on 3s. It does 70mph no problems. These truggys are a little on the small side, more like a 1/12 scale. The gears and drive train are very tough though. They are also extremely light weight so you can gear them very high. You will want to open the center diff and out some thicker fluid in, I'd recommend silicone greese or 100k silicone oil to keep the front tires from ballooning. Also, a cheap set of good tires that fit these are Traxxas summit 1/16 wheels and tires. They are the same dimensions, much better tread, and cheap

If you are looking for parts for this Aftermarket parts like the major ones Trancas, Associated, Tlr Losi and etc won't fit there pinion gear pitch looks bigger that a 3rd itch and that the norm for all 8 scale buggies and the spur gear is the same no pinion I know of would fit this Truggy. If you do buy the RTR version that comes with all the electrical components.

Ive heard too much about how this car isn’t durable and is trash. When I ordered it, I immediately ordered the aluminum upgrade Integy parts everyone suggests. I got it, put in my electronics, and took it for its first drive and discharged a whole pack, and for just bashing around my yard in grass, some hills, some dirt, and on the street, I haven’t broken anything or popped out the pillow balls so far and I’m wondering if those upgrades are even necessary, but we’ll find out jumping at the track. This is the perfect 1/8 scale package in 1/10 scale size. The suspension setup was perfect out of the box. It’s a great car that’s worth checking out if you want something different and unique. A+ truggy.

Ive had two of these for years now. The early ones in 2012 or so had a few issues with steering angle and a couple weak parts. This has been addressed, and the updated model is tough as nails and turns on a dime. No upgrades needed. It is very light weight and handles fantastic. I regularly take 10ft jumps with mine with no problems. My advice is to keep the power system and battery's small. It will help keep the car very nimble. I'm running a hobywing 60amp esc, 5700kv 4650 motor, on 2s lipo with a 13t pinion gear. It is faster than my losi 8 on 4s. Idea say it weighs less than 4lbs with the battery and body ready to run. Tires are also cheap, any 1/10 buggy rear tires (2.2) will fit all the way around. Set a little bit of toe out on the front suspension, and run 30 weight shock oil, 2k front diff oil, 2k rear, 5k center. Also, T-bone racing makes a fantastic front bumper and skid plates for this, I'd recommend those. Read full review
