    Happy (warm) buyer!

    Much as I didn't want to hide my lovely new wood burning stove, I knew from the moment that one of my dogs decided sitting in the hearth was THE place to be that something needed to be done. I looked at loads, but I'm sure some of the close mesh types would stop some of the heat, and others didn't look too stable, hence my final choice. I'm really pleased with this. It's lovely and strong, simple to assemble, and does just what I wanted. The door in the front means that it's not in the way when fueling the stove, either, which is great. Happy to recommend, in every way!

    A well dimensioned, top product.

    This is a well engineered product which is outstanding value for money. As an engineer myself I have seen plenty of sub standard items offered for sale and this isn't one of them. This fireguard is taller then most that I've seen and also deeper with long side sections. This fits my Hunter stove which stands on its own log store. It's not as tall as the stove and store combined but it's not far off. This is not a meshed guard but it largely defends my stove against direct contact by children and animals who should, in any case, never be left unsupervised.

    Metal Fire Guard overall good quality but ...

    It looks very smart in front of the log burner and the main structure is good quality. But a few issues, the hooks that hook into a wall fitting to hold the guard in place, of which there are 2 at each side, the bottom ones are too low down and the skirting board is in the way so we had to remove these metal hooks and as they are welded on are not too difficult to remove , this resulted in the guard hanging straight and square when the top two fixtures were fixed and hung on the wall. Note fixing eyes are not included and I purchased these separately. The opening front drops a little as the two levers that hold the front opening in place are not good quality and are quite sharp I will be looking at replacing these with something stronger and smoother and more small child resistant as the ...

    Good for the price

    Looks good and is OK quality, the welds are a bit suspect in places and not everything is straight and true but for the price it's good. No brackets included for wall mounting but they're easily bought or made and once secured to the wall it's really solid. The catches are on the door are good and feel very secure when closed.

    Great item, only one flaw

    Really great fire guard; perfect for our log burner. Only complaint would be that there are no eyes provided for wall fixings to hook the guard into place securely. This may have been mentioned in the listing, if so I didn’t notice. But it’s a bit of a pain to now try to find the complementary fixings from another supplier.
