Edible Apples
I used this trap to monitor the codling moth population on three apple trees. Before using this my apple harvest was riddled with maggots. Last year I installed the Agrilan Pheromone Codling Moth Trap towards the end of May and was amazed how many moths were 'stuck' to it. This is designed to monitor the situation and it certainly did what it said on the packet. Perfect Apples.
I have been using these Pheromone Codling Moth traps for a number of years now to protect our apple tree, used as per the instructions they work very well indeed. Plus, by checking the trap daily you can estimate how many Coddling Moths are in the area and take more drastic action if need be. Having said that I have never had to do so, last year not one apple had been attacked and so far this year the result is about the same.
