Great tone and feel
I had only ever used flats on bass guitar before. Recently I bought a 7 string Les Paul style guitar specifically to get a bluesy-jazzy tone. I definitely got it, and couldn't help but wonder if I could get an even better sound. After reading a bunch, I found that I should go ahead and give these a try. Not only do they feel great, but contrary to what several different people claim, I can still do bends without a problem. Tapping does not come through as clear as round wounds, but its still possible. I love the mellow, warm tone these give my guitar. It already sounded great with the cheap factory strings it had on it, I wasn't sure how much improvement could be had. Lo and behold D'Addario Chromes and bam! Theres exactly what I was looking for.
