    the "sizing" on site was less than forthcoming. They were definitely extra wide in the foot, but length sizing was way off - ankle cup is way up my leg! i use them for bed socks but cannot wear them in public.

    The sizing is also simply a reference! Not an exact science for every customer. With variables like height, length of foot, length of calf, inseam etc etc, the socks will end up at a different height on everyone. You could be 6' 2" tall with a 28" inseam, i.e you have short legs or you could be the same height with a 33" inseam (long legs). This product will obviously come up the leg at different points! We have been providing these socks to our customers for over 25 years so most love them.
