    Great Product

    Have used this before on car work but now used to treat an old horseshoe, to be painted for decorative purposes. Basically, this is the original consumer phosphating solution. Changes oxidation state of any remaining traces of rust to give a cohesive and adhesive coating, similar to magnetite (better known as gun blueing). Not good enough for long term protection on its own but makes a good base for painting and,by destroying the red rust, gives protection against rust bubbling. If this sounds technical its because I have a Metallurgy degree.

    Good reliable product.

    Have used many times before. A good product that does the job it's meant to do. Passivates the rusty surface after loose flakes removed and gives a good surface for a primer coat. Stops rust returning if applied correctly and allowed to dry before proceeding. WJM.

    Great product

    I bought this to rescue a wheelbarrow before it became too rusty and it has done a good job. It is easy to apply and to wash out of the brush. It works quickly, so you can go back and retouch anything you missed. There was enough in the jar to coat my rusted-out firepit, which has been sprayed with heat resistant paint and looks good again, and a metal chimenea which looks great now, without any further paint. I don't know how it will react with heat because I haven't tried it yet. All in all, a great product.

    works good

    it works real good turns rust into a solid under coat I have used on some very bad rusted car sub frames can make them last another 5 years I have been useing hammerite kurust mostly on cars for more 10 years best if you also use hammerite top coat paint as well get rid off most of rust before you put it on.

    Fantastic product 👍

    Fantastic product. Thought I would have to scrap my wrought iron gates. This stuff just dissolved the rust as I applied it. Just 250ml was enough to cover 2 sets of gates ready for a top coat of Hammerite paint. Job done!
