    Two terrific ladies of the Opera together in Munchen

    In this particular DVD, we can find two recitals (named "EVVIVA BELCANTO" e LE GRANDE PRIMEDONNE" by someone who didn't know Italian language too well) given by our two superstars in a Radio Auditorium in Germany, when both of them were in the last decade of their splendid careers. They sing a lot of music alone, and a just a little together in duet, with a quite good orchestra conducted by Nicola Rescigno, a "long-course" captain of Italian Opera in the world, a conductor particularly well-known to Horne. It's possible to see the arrival of our two singers at the airport, and some interesting moments of the backstage. My personal impression is that in the first concert Mrs.Caballé was a little sick, and Mrs.Horne on a great form, but in the second ...
