Handy little bench vice
I was pleasantly surprised by this little vice. Given the price I wasn't expecting much, but it's actually quite a well-built piece of kit. It's a nice size to fit to my desk for small jobs, and a light application of grease to the lead screw ensured smooth operation of the vice jaws. I had to bend the split-pin slightly so that it doesn't catch on every rotation of the lead-screw, but that's just a minor niggle. Other than that, I expect it will give many years of service.I was pleasantly surprised by this little vice. Small beyond belief.
These pens look cheap and nasty, the magnets only just about hold them to the whiteboard, very weak magnets. But the worst thing is that they are so tiny. Not like in the photo with the apple. The pens are so small it's not easy to hold them. I don't expect them to last very long.

vice
although this vice is rotatable, the clamp to lock rotation is very poor. vice moves as you work on the piece clamped in its jaws. so overall a very poor clamp which i could not recommend. I have now filed down flashings, added a thin washer within the central clamping mechanism and this now works adequately well. As a result I have increased the star rating from 3 to 4, and would commend this vice, once modified/finished as being usable and useful.although this vice is rotatable, the clamp to lock rotation is very poor. vice moves as you work on the piece clamped in its jaws. so overall a very poor clamp which i could not recommend. Simple basic vice, cheap alloy screws let it down
It works fine on a bench, but the under bench clamp end bent the first time i used it to clamp on the desk because the alloy used isnt strong enough. The vice is still useable, although the bent screw cap cuts deep grooves into the bench because it bent. Easy solved with a wooden protector of course. So not bad, but let down by cheap alloy clamp screw cap.
