We can only assume you tried swimming or submerging the watch, when it is only water resistant to 30 metres, and the explaination of this is clearly explained in the product listing: "The rating in metres does not mean the watch can be submerged that deep in water. It means that it can withstand that rating of what is known as static water pressure. 30 metres: Splash proof and waterproo in small amounts of water".
