This is a well constructed, great looking bag that will hold up well for many years. Will hold a lot and looks like it will wear like iron. The width measurement is of the leather trimmed base of the bag---can actually hold wider items as the cloth is 17 1/2 across the middle of the bag, seam to seam, so you can shape the bag for different needs.

Contacted buyer to discuss and try to resolve. Some confusion about the dimensions here: the 33cm (13”) measurement on the listing relates to the dimensions of the base of the bag.
