    Excellent Octalink V2 bottom bracket. Old tech but still good.

    If you have an older Octalink V2 crankset that is creaking or rough spinning or you just want to upgrade, this ES51 is a great bottom bracket to fill that need. Overall excellent quality. BBs don't last forever so make sure your shell is faced/trued and you torque down the BB in increments and to a good setting (50-70nm, I go to 60nm) this is all you can really do. Interesting that some BBs are made in Japan and many are made in Singapore or Indonesia. Not sure of the quality difference if any, but from what I have heard most of the Shimano road components are made in Japan and the mountain components in Indonesia. Whether that is true or not I don't really know. There are a few ES71s still floating around which are discontinued but mostly road/setup spindle lengths. The ES25 and ...
