What is not made clear is that when using the clock on battery power the display switches off after two seconds to conserve the batteries.. The light returns , for two seconds , after making a noise or tapping the case. Not what I was expecting. It does however have a good display and will be good if connected via the USB port.

The back of the box arrived slightly damaged, almost certainly a result of something with a pointed corner being dropped on it by the courier. I mentioned it to the seller but didn't want either a refund or replacement as it was a Christmas present and there was no time to get a replacement. The seller quickly responded and gave me a £2 refund to compensate. That was very fair and was combined with quick delivery and a fair price for the product.
