The only problem is that the optical drive's drawer does not open which suggests that it was not adequately checked. The drive itself works when opened with the emergency pinhole. I have an external drive which functions ok with the laptop. Because of the faff and effort involved in returning the laptop I decided to keep it and will not mark it down too much on that account.
