It offers continuous access to satellite channels and allows users to record favorite songs and other content for later playback. The Sirius S50-TK1 also lets users to pause and rewind live radio broadcasts and store up to 50 hours of music or broadcast content. Users may preset up to 30 favorite channels for instant push button play on this Sirius satellite radio receiver and use the favorite song button to automatically record any song as it plays. Furthermore, a parental control lock on this car and home satellite radio receiver assures parents that their kids can't access inappropriate content or listen at a forbidden time. While tuned into a sports event, this Sirius satellite radio receiver continuously displays and updates game scores on the large LCD display screen. After users enter the names of favorite teams into the unit, this car and home satellite radio receiver displays an alert each time that team is scheduled to play. Sirius S50, still the best featured satellite radio even after more than 10 years!
No other satellite radio can match the S50's timeless styling (It still matches well with my new car's interiour, despite its design's age of over 10 years) and it's ability to record limitless number of songs. I have had portable XM's for years and this is one of the most exciting ones I've had.
Although this unit is not receive directly from the satellite when made a portable like many of the others . it does record for hours and you can take it with you. These are the operation is much better than the other units that I've had. Plus this one speaks to you and tells you what channel you're on and what you're doing. I did find the FM transmitter to be a little harder to maneuver, and change frequencies than some of the other unit. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit.
