    Simple boost at a low cost.

    I tried this at band-practice and it works great w/a lot of clean boost. As long as the switch holds up to regular abuse this can't be beat for the price. I had the more expensive TC electronic mini-Spark-Boost, and loved, loved, loved it.....but, the switch became intermittent under regular use. Shame on you TC !!..you had a good idea and you blew it. TC has a momentary "on" mode when you hold your foot down on the switch. who cares if the switch fails...oh well. T.C. electronic mini spark boost: uses a internal spring to "plunge" a mini, circuit board mounted switch. the spring tension becomes inconsistent and it may or may not engage the effect. there was nothing wrong with the surface mount switch when I tested it; so, I play w/the spring tension on the switch but my results were ...

    Great Overdrive for Active Bass!

    I bought this as a boost for my active bass and it gives it just enough grit to stand out and cut through the mix in big parts of the songs! It does not color the tone which make it even better! For my active bass it acts as a normal boost to thicken things up but it does not have enough umph to give it that overdrive sound. I highly recommend for anyone with an active bass looking for a clean overdrive!
