Bought a coin they listed then they said they they wasn’t allowed to sell it because they didn’t have the appropriate authorisation to sell it via the consignee clear lies why would you bother uploading and going through with all the sale if you didn’t have the coin and that’s the first thing you do is get permission to sell sorry bad practice is this.

Quite understand buyers upset. Listed this in good faith on behalf of a consignor. Was notified within hours of listing, but after the ebay bid that the gold coin was part of a collection in deceased estate subject to probate, it was not legally possible to offer, title could not pass, a sale would have been void and lawyers could trace and recover it. Ebayer was protected with immediate refund, explanation and apology. I hope to be able to re-list after the family have been granted probate
