    Best of one of the most distinctive soul artists of his generation

    Value second to none. Bill Withers is a much neglected artist and there is plenty to like here with some key classics to boot ('Lean on Me' being the most well-known example). But it not always the hits that impress the most. Songs like 'Harlem' and 'Grandma's Hands' are gems. The only drawback is the album cover, which makes it almost certain to be ignored by all except those who know something about Bill Withers and appreciate his voice, artistry and song-writing abilities. For the price this is amazing value indeed.
