    Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB a old cheap HDD has good capacity and reliability for the price but not as fast or reliable as other options

    these cheap 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDDs offer great capacity for your money but are slightly less reliable then most other drives on the market and a little bit slower too which is why i would recommend something like a WD re 2, WD re 4, or WD10EURX over this if you don't care about the capacity much a 240GB SATA SSD goes for about the same price as one of these HDDs and offers a much better user experience while sequentially workloads would only be about 2-3x faster then a cheap HDD real world random read performance is about 10-30x faster then HDDs which is why applications load so much faster on the SSD and without having a spinning magentic disc inside SSDs are silent and more power effcient

    Seagate up to its usual high standards!

    This drive proved excellent to upgrade from the "small" 80Gb drive in my desktop computer. Quiet in operation, fast access, easy to install. I bought a similar one 5 years ago and it's still working very well with no surface errors detected.

    Seagate 1Tb Hard Disk Drive
