Working as the janitor at a radio station, he enlists the help of one of the deejays (Dennis Miller) to tell his story on the air: when he was eight years old on a trip to the Grand Canyon, he behaved obnoxiously causing his parents to abandon him.

Simple movie with lots of '80's feel to it.
This is Tommy Boy's younger and less intelligent brother! smile. Its a fun, easy to watch movie that pokes fun at so many white trash stereotypes I can't list them all! ha! I love Dennis Miller...and he is in prime form as the DJ interviewing Joe Dirt. Christopher Walken also shines with his uniquely quirky acting style that lends itself well to the character he plays. Kid Rock......what a choice to play the Redneck bad boy, complete with early 80s trans am! Brittaney Daniel.....beautiful and perhaps the most intelligent character in this whole movie. If you are looking for a super intelligent, witty comedy...this ain't it. If you enjoy a simple, fun movie that has an occasional realism to it (an abandoned boy trying to find his identity while doing the best he can with life along the way) this could be a good movie to watch!
