Looks good but a really bad wiring connection design.
On first view, it's looks to be the product that I wanted, but when I began the process of connecting it to the cable extension for my caravan, I quickly came to the recognition that it is of poor design and difficult to connect the cabling with any (real) security. The socket is meant to carry 24V from a mains source to your RV (caravan/motohome, etc.) so I was extremely unpleasantly surprised to find that the connections are insecure and rely on bare wire being tightened between a screw head and surrounding plastic moulding. There is a real risk that the wiring will come loose and short, which also carries a risk of fire in the socket which could extend to the caravan, and quickly become a disaster. In other words, a very real safety risk. I will not be using this socket, and will ... Does the job
It’s a big improvement for anyone with a mains hook up that makes the cable stick out at 90 degrees. It makes the cable less intrusive if it exits into the caravan awning. The case is good quality but the reason for only giving it 3 stars is because the screws for connecting the cable are not really adequate for the thickness of a EHU cable. To be on the safe side I finished the connection with solder.It’s a big improvement for anyone with a mains hook up that makes the cable stick out at 90 degrees. Not good quality as I would have expected.
The external design is excellent but the internal cable fixings are very poor for connecting each of the three wires to the terminals. Not sure if these are cheap imports but I suggest they are.

Good product especially for Bailey caravans
We bought a Bailey caravan and the electrical input is on the door side of the caravan. Therefore the traditional lead will stick out and be a trip hazard. By using a right angled input socket this allowed the cable to hang straight down from the side of the van lessening the possibility of a trip hazard.
