I installed to compensate for a light 5-gram cartridge. The rebalance of the tonearm and cartridge was accomplished to attain VTF and is within the cartridge/tonearm resonance window. Most importantly vinyl LPs sound great. This is much better visually than the stick-on weight I was using.
